Learn the art of needle felting in this festive holiday workshop. Class will focus on the basics of felting, as artist and designer Andrew Bayer guides students through the process of transforming loose wool fibers into a solid, cohesive piece of fabric. After practicing the foundational techniques of creating a felted base, the class will explore how to create textures, shapes and structures using the modern method of needle felting to create a cheerful ornament.
Natural wool and other fibers will be provided. Students will go home with the piece they create in class, as well as a tool set that includes a felting needle, needle handle and foam.
